Dear Devotees and Friends of the TOVP,
Hare Krishna! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
The main focus and news of this month’s TOVP Newsletter is both bitter and sweet. In October we will be celebrating a grand welcome ceremony for Srila Prabhupada’s new murti at the TOVP commemorating his 125th Appearance Anniversary Year (the sweet). However, due to the pandemic and the lack of leaders and devotees present in Mayapur, we will not observe the installation ceremony as planned, it has been postponed again to next year (the bitter).
The welcome ceremony is now officially scheduled for October 14 &15 and will consist of talks about Srila Prabhupada by ISKCON leaders (via video), a procession for the Prabhupada utsav murti, a fire yajna and a sacred water abhisheka for Prabhupada’s new murti using water gathered from 125 sacred rivers honoring his 125th Appearance Anniversary Year. More information about that is in the main Newsletter article.
Other articles include updates from Sadbhuja prabhu about the completion of the Jaya murti and wall relief panels, the current status of the Book of Devotion publication, a new Vedic Science Essays section on the website and more.
I sincerely hope you are inspired reading this Newsletter and share it with other devotees.
Your servant,
Ambarisa das
Chairman
